Tell us about your massage school and other trainings:

I graduated from Alexander School of Massage and Therapeutics in Tacoma, Washington. They thoroughly teach the importance of treating the body as a whole system and that everything is connected in the body. I feel blessed to have learned everything from the foundation of Swedish to myofascial release and specialized treatment work. Other training and certifications include Cupping, intra-oral, Zen Body Therapy, Gua Sha, and pre/post natal.

What bodywork are you currently studying?

I recently took an extensive intra-oral class and have enjoyed learning about how oral tension and inflammation are linked to many common health issues that can be treated.
I regularly study ways to stretch and strengthen soft tissue in order to increase the mobility and efficiency for movement of our bodies.

What do you want people to know about their body?

Our bodies are able to do amazing things. It is important to give back to our bodies with proper rest, movement, nutrients, and self care. Paying attention to cues can make the world of difference from day to day through the rest of our lives. The mind and body are wired together. Take care of both and feel the difference for yourself.

What do you want people to know about health and wellness?

Even small and consistent healthy habits can add and multiply into drastic and healthy changes. You don't need perfection, just progress and time towards your goals. Remember why you started and remember you're worth it. It's never too late to start.

What is your favorite system in the body?

I am always so amazed by how the branches of the nervous system has to work together, relating to the muscular system. I like the nature and complexity of each challenge that comes my way to always be able to keep learning more and practice intuitive skills.

Self-Care Advice

The body is always adapting to what we do everyday. Regular exercise and hydration is important. Find the good in life, maybe compliment someone, or do that thing that helps you feel recharged.
