In a medical massage session, the therapist aims to achieve a specific outcome, primarily pain relief and restoring function to the body. The patient's present diagnosis or injury is assessed/evaluated by the therapist and specific treatment is administered. The type of massage treatment will be decided by the therapist, depending on their modality specialties, in order to focus on a specific outcome for the condition.

We will bill $37.50 per 15-minute unit to your private health insurance company or your motor vehicle insurance.

Each health insurance or motor vehicle company has a different reimbursement rate. We always bill our standard insurance rate of $37.50 per 15-minute unit ($150.00 per 60-minute treatment). Reimbursement rates will vary depending on each insurance company.

Yes, you need to have a referral in order to use your massage therapy benefits with your health plan.

A referral can be obtained by your doctor or chiropractor.

There is a customer service number on the back of your insurance card. You can call them and ask if your plan covers massage therapy services or rehabilitative services. Be specific in asking if these services will be covered by a licensed massage therapist. We do not have a chiropractor or physical therapist on site for medical massage treatments.

They should be able to tell you how many sessions are covered in a year, if you have a co-payment or co-insurance, and if your massage benefits are subject to your deductible.

It depends.

Firstly, it depends on the comfort level of the client to receive therapeutic massage. As the client, you have the right to set your limitations.

Secondly, the level of discomfort will depend on the condition being treated. For example, massage techniques used to treat scar tissue adhesions can feel intense and sometimes uncomfortable. Manual lymphatic drainage techniques require very little pressure and can feel extremely soothing.

Everyone has a varied pain tolerance and our pain receptors can even be different day to day. We check in with you on your comfort level each time we see you!

Our therapists are licensed by the State of Idaho as well hold a 650+hour certification from a licensed massage school in the United States.

The state of Idaho requires licensed massage therapists to do continuing education courses every year to keep an active license, so we are always keeping up on the latest information and massage techniques through workshops, certification courses, and seminars.

We DO accept motor vehicle accident insurance.

If you experienced a soft tissue injury and reported it to your insurance carrier, you will most likely be able to get massage therapy services covered.

Sure! We offer integrative massage sessions, meaning that if there is not a medical condition or specific muscular problem, we can use a whole range of techniques to offer you a bodywork session that works for you. We do take cash or out-of-pocket payment.
