Tell us about your massage school and other trainings: 

My introduction into bodywork was in 2003 when I received my Reiki level one certification. Went on to graduate from Glen Dow academy, studying Esthetics in 2005. In 2007 completed RYT 200hrs from Yoga Alliance and graduated from North Idaho Massage Academy in 2021. I’ve enhanced my knowledge in CranioSacral level one with Etienne Piersman , Advanced Myofascial Trainings with Til Luchau and my favorite Ashiatsu with Sole massage.

What bodywork are you currently studying?

Currently studying Ashiatsu massage and planning to attend Ashiatsu level 2 training later this year. Just finished a yoga spring challenge and signed up for my first yoga retreat.

What do you want people to know about their body?

Your body has something it wants to tell you. Find time to listen or it may come out in symptoms you cannot ignore. Trust your gut.

 

What do you want people to know about health and wellness?

The healing power of the mind, our body believes the stories we tell it. Speak kindly to yourself.

Self-Care Advice

It is essential to listen to your body. Quieting the mind enough to hear the wisdom from within. Striving to find the balance and being gentle with yourself along the way. Connect with nature.

What is your favorite system in the body?

The one thing you do all day long that has the biggest effect on the nervous system. You cannot live without doing it, and if you do it well, you can significantly reduce the risk of disease and increase your lifespan. Just breathe! The respiratory system and how it directly affects the nervous system. These interconnected systems working together to maintain homeostasis. It’s a perfect balance.

Favorite thing to do in Sandpoint?

I am a lover of the outdoors and have a heart for adventuring. Always up for trying something new. I love to move my body through dance, yoga, climbing mountains, riding bikes, padding the waters and of course Jiu Jitsu is my jam!
