Therapeutic massage services typically involve a two-step process where the therapist first performs an assessment and then a treatment. The massage therapist will usually spend considerable time with the client, asking them about their symptoms, needs and goals. Depending on the client's needs, which may vary from day to day, the therapist will tailor the bodywork session accordingly by including techniques such as joint mobilization, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release techniques, reflexology, or neuromuscular techniques to name a few.
